Baby gear is overwhelming at times. There are so many different items you’re convinced you will need to survive parenting a little one and then there are a million different options for those items.

I’m here to tell ya that the second time around you learn what you really need and quickly realize what you don’t.

The biggest thing I decided to tackle this time around was swaddling my baby so I could help her sleep better – or at least that was my goal compared to my son’s newborn months.

Swaddling wasn’t our thing then. My son didn’t like being swaddled and I just flat out sucked at it. But I told myself it is gonna work for this baby because this I’m gonna figure it out.

I can do this.

And guess what… it’s worked! Cue happy dance for getting some extra sleep this time around!

I discovered this particular brand of swaddle blankets one day while browsing through Instagram like I usually do during the quiet time of getting the littles to nap.

I knew I had to try this brand out because they looked stretchy, giving me hope that I could work the material better than I did with the standard muslin fabrics.

The package came (with a ridiculously cute little bow I for my ridiculously cute little lady) and I could not get over this fabric.

It’s amazing. So luxurious and soft, thin enough for summer or folded in half it’s quickly thickened up for colder weather needs.

The prints are adorable – this one really fits the whole “pink everything” thing we have going on at our house. But they have options for boys and girls.

If you are in the market for a precious baby blanket that’s not the standard blue/pink fabric, you will not be disappointed going with Jett & Jill.

This brand is definitely on my survival parenting gear list.
